so my name is Evan Chan I work for so my name is Evan Chan I work for conviva Inc as a principal engineer so uh we are in the uh engineer so uh we are in the uh streaming uh real time streaming streaming uh real time streaming analytics business and I think like any analytics business and I think like any other data company like AI is uh really other data company like AI is uh really important because it it's it's not important because it it's it's not enough just to give people answers I enough just to give people answers I think people want the the right answer think people want the the right answer and I think AI is a really important and I think AI is a really important part of that because just giving people part of that because just giving people Mountain sense of data is kind of Mountain sense of data is kind of useless useless so um I I think two parts one is that so um I I think two parts one is that anomy detection is is really important anomy detection is is really important in our line of work so we want to help in our line of work so we want to help people proactively figure out what people proactively figure out what problems that they see so so so that so problems that they see so so so that so that part of AI is extremely important that part of AI is extremely important to us um and you know you know thing to us um and you know you know thing things like cohort learning that's kind things like cohort learning that's kind of thing um another thing uh is that is of thing um another thing uh is that is you know I think everyone is crazy about you know I think everyone is crazy about large language models and and so we're large language models and and so we're looking at uh the use of that in in looking at uh the use of that in in multiple different areas but uh even multiple different areas but uh even like we've started you know with just like we've started you know with just like helping customers like figure out like helping customers like figure out how to use our system like that kind of how to use our system like that kind of thing but there's a lot of things we're thing but there's a lot of things we're looking into um and and and personally looking into um and and and personally like as a software developer I think like as a software developer I think chat gbt is useful for even just every chat gbt is useful for even just every day like learning like how to do this or day like learning like how to do this or that or you know so for getting ideas that's a good question I'm not ideas that's a good question I'm not really sure yet but I certainly hope to really sure yet but I certainly hope to uh dive a lot deeper into like uh how we uh dive a lot deeper into like uh how we can use large language models for can use large language models for different things like uh even for uh for different things like uh even for uh for database and data pipeline work um and database and data pipeline work um and um I hope to dive a lot deeper into um I hope to dive a lot deeper into anomal detection that's because that's anomal detection that's because that's an important area for us yeah there's probably too many uh to us yeah there's probably too many uh to list I think for me I'm probably going list I think for me I'm probably going to be the most excited about uh the like to be the most excited about uh the like talks about streaming data and and um I talks about streaming data and and um I know there's a few rust talks that want know there's a few rust talks that want to attend so but but you know like I to attend so but but you know like I think they all look really good so we think they all look really good so we ult to pick well you know I I've been here a pick well you know I I've been here a number of years like I I think um the number of years like I I think um the the best part is just that it it is the best part is just that it it is really developer focus and it's very really developer focus and it's very relaxed um and and and the people are relaxed um and and and the people are awesome you know so awesome speakers and awesome you know so awesome speakers and uh great people like you always you know uh great people like you always you know learn a lot chatting with different learn a lot chatting with different people so I I I think that's what I people so I I I think that's what I would say you know it's like you come uh would say you know it's like you come uh because uh it it it's worth a while just because uh it it it's worth a while just because of of the people
